dmedia-gtk software package provides Distributed media library (GTK+ interface), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dmedia-gtk
dmedia-gtk is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dmedia-gtk package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dmedia-gtk *
You will get with dmedia-gtk package name, version, architecture and description in a table
